1. Service Overview
NOVA Logistics is a parent-organised transport coordination service operated by the NOVA Care Circle committee for students of MRSM Langkawi. The service provides shuttle transport between Langkawi International Airport (LIA) and MRSM Langkawi during designated trip periods.
This service is run on a non-profit, community basis. NOVA Logistics is not a registered transport operator. All transport arrangements are made in good faith on behalf of participating parents.
2. Booking & Payment
- The transport fee is RM 12.00 per student per leg (one-way journey). A return trip costs RM 24.00 per student.
- Payment is processed securely via ToyyibPay. Your booking is only confirmed once payment is completed successfully.
- A booking confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not receive it within 10 minutes.
- Each booking will be issued a unique Booking Reference (e.g. NOVA-XXXXXXX). Keep this reference — students must present it to the driver on the day of travel.
⚠️ Payments are non-refundable. Once payment is made, the fee cannot be refunded except in the event of cancellation by NOVA Logistics (see Clause 6).
3. Student Information Accuracy
- You are responsible for providing accurate and complete student details, including full name, student ID, class, and mobile number.
- Inaccurate information may result in the student being unable to board. NOVA Logistics is not liable for any issues arising from incorrect details submitted by the parent.
- Each student ID may only be registered once per trip. Duplicate registrations will be rejected.
4. On the Day of Travel
- Students must be present at the designated pick-up point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- The driver will verify students against the booking manifest. Students must present their Booking Reference when requested.
- NOVA Logistics reserves the right to depart at the scheduled time. Students who arrive late may miss their transport.
- Parents are responsible for ensuring their child is aware of the pick-up location and time.
🚫 No-shows are not refundable. If a student does not board the transport without prior notice, no refund or rescheduling will be provided.
5. Flight Delays & Changes
- If your child's flight is delayed, please contact the NOVA Logistics committee as soon as possible via the WhatsApp group or committee contact.
- NOVA Logistics will make reasonable efforts to accommodate flight delays, but cannot guarantee transport will be held beyond a reasonable waiting period.
- Flight information (flight number and estimated arrival time) entered during booking is used for planning purposes only and does not guarantee a schedule adjustment.
6. Cancellation by NOVA Logistics
- In the rare event that a trip is cancelled by NOVA Logistics (e.g. due to insufficient bookings, vehicle unavailability, or force majeure), affected parents will be notified via email and the NOVA WhatsApp group.
- In such cases, a full refund will be processed within 14 working days.
- NOVA Logistics is not liable for any additional costs incurred by parents as a result of a cancellation (e.g. alternative transport arrangements).
7. Parent Cancellation
- Parents who wish to cancel a booking must contact the NOVA Logistics committee directly.
- Cancellations requested more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure may be considered for a refund at the committee's discretion.
- Cancellations requested within 48 hours of departure are not eligible for a refund.
- Any refund approved will be for the transport fee only. Payment gateway fees charged by ToyyibPay are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refunded amount.
8. Liability
- NOVA Logistics and its committee members act in good faith and take reasonable care in arranging transport services. However, the committee is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or delay that may occur during transit.
- Parents who book transport acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks and that NOVA Logistics is a community-run service, not a commercial operator.
- Vehicle safety and roadworthiness are the responsibility of the hired vehicle operator.
9. Personal Data
Personal information collected during booking (parent name, phone, email, student details) is used solely for the purpose of coordinating transport and communicating booking updates. This information will not be shared with third parties outside of the transport arrangement.
By completing a booking, you consent to NOVA Logistics storing and using your details for this purpose.
10. Changes to Terms
NOVA Care Circle reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies. Continued use of the booking system after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
